Steinemann’s SYRIUS laminating machine combines high quality results with a top-end production output. A laminating pressure of up to 7 tons guarantees a high quality finish.

Increased productivity

The automatic SYRIUS W dryer as well as the new two drum system which incorporates a separate laminating roller and large drying drum, generates speeds of up to 80 m a minute with water based adhesive and 100m a minute or 10,000 sheets an hour with thermal films. Thanks to the 400mm diameter of the cylinder, the SYRIUS T is able to reach an optimal working temperature even at extreme speeds.

Maximum availability

Available with continuous sheet feeding and film roll diameters of up to 600mm, combined with a high degree of automation, make-ready times are reduced to a minimum. The remote maintenance software minimises service times and increases the speed at which possible defects are recognised.

Greatest flexibility

SYRIUS machines can process all standard types of film (OPP, PET, thermal, acetate and others) in thicknesses of 10 to 100 _m. Film can selectively be gloss, matt, coloured, transparent or metallised and can even include holograms.

Optimal ease of use

Thanks to the modular IT platform, the same programme can be used for different laminating processes. Both machine variations are based on a standard operating surface.

Lower energy costs

The regulated drying system not only has productivity advantages, but also cost and environmental ones. Depending on the amount of adhesive applied, the drying capacity is automatically optimised.
